Breakthrough Manchester at The Derryfield School is a year-round, tuition-free academic program serving motivated students from the Manchester, New Hampshire school district. Our students self-select as 5th graders and commit to attending our summer and school-year sessions for two years. Breakthrough supports their academic progress through their high school graduation. A dual-mission program, Breakthrough Manchester is also a workshop in education, training high school and college students from around the city, the state, and the nation in the art of teaching. This unique program has served over a thousand youth in the city of Manchester since 1991.
